WElcome to Shelby Street
Wife, Mother, Believer, and YOUR Photographer.
I am blessed to feel like my job is a gift. I love people. I love photography. And this job – this calling – marries these two loves. I never thought I would end up being a wedding photographer, but it so beautifully combines my love for art, for people, family, love, marriage, details...the list goes on and on! I can't imagine doing anything else. There are so many moments that I wish could stand still so I could enjoy them just a little bit longer. Savor them even. And that is the feeling I hope I can give to my couples with my work.
In addition to being a photographer, I'm also a wife, a mom (to 5 amazing kiddos!), believer and friend. I am a sentimental Southern girl, and I can get gushy when I describe my "job". But I truly believe that serving couples by capturing their best day in a series of photographs that they can cherish for a lifetime is part of my purpose, and that I've been called to do just that. I've been blessed to document countless love stories for almost a decade – and I can't wait to see where the next decade takes me – and my couples!

The Shelby Street Story
It all started when two people fell in love...
Shelby Street Studios was founded by my friends, Patrick and Brittany Clark, in 2009. They were a husband and wife photography team, and the company's name originates from the street where they bought their first home after getting married. We've been friends for over 20 years, and I had the privilege to watch them get married, and from afar, as they began their photography business.
Our paths crossed again later in life, and, knowing of my love for photography and people, the Clarks asked me to become an associate photographer for Shelby Street. I spent 7 years working with them and documenting love stories, capturing beautiful moments in time. Then in 2020, when Patrick and Brittany moved their family out of state, they asked me to become the owner and sole, lead photographer of Shelby Street.
I considered changing the name, but I thought deeply about legacy. Legacy is important in this business – after all, I'm capturing the very beginning of your legacy as a couple getting married. Even though they aren't a part of the company anymore, I didn't want to erase Patrick and Brittany from the business they worked so hard to create. Instead, I decided to honor that legacy of photographing couples in love, just like the husband and wife team who started it all. I can't wait to capture your incredible love story, created by the moments that make your legacy so beautifully "you."
