Baking is one of my favorite things in life.  No joke.  It is a stress reliever for me.  No matter what is going on I can focus on a recipe or creating something new and then my house smells amazing and you get this wonderful beautiful treat.  That is if all goes well… :).

So.. combine my love of baking and sweets with weddings… and you get today’s post which is all about my favorite wedding cake designs!  As a wedding photographer in Cincinnati we come across so many amazing vendors!  Honestly I had a terrible time narrowing it down… there are so many in my mind that stand out.  But you have to start somewhere right?!!

Now you could certainly argue a case for many other types of wedding treats.. pies.. cookies.. donuts.. cupcakes, etc.  But that will have to wait for another day.  Today it’s all about the cake!  You know what I mean…the cake that is so beautiful that is pains you to cut.  But then you realize it’s cake and you run to find the nearest plate?  Just me?

But perhaps more importantly it might be the first team building exercise you’ll face as a married couple.  It can get messy… it can be sweet… it’s sort of your first moment of truth.

Ellen & Dakota’s handmade cakes were stunning and rustic.  A perfect fit for their private farm wedding!
